You may feel a phone tower is not worth writing about. This one is 35 metres tall, on ground well above our homes, between the Calderwood Valley and Cascadia estates, and the plans on exhibition are marked draft with the location "to be agreed". A two-minute email is the only thing Council counts.
To be clear about what this is and is not. Nobody here is against mobile coverage, and nobody is trying to stop anyone's phone working. The ask is that Council make the applicant do the job properly: fix the location, show the alternatives it considered, prove the height, and finish the reports, before anything is approved. If that ends with a shorter pole in a better spot, that is a good outcome for everyone.

How to object in three steps
- Type your address and roughly how far you are from the site below. The email updates itself.
- Add one sentence of your own if you can: what you would see from your home or street. Then copy the email.
- Paste it into a new email to the address below, with the subject line shown, and send it before 4.30 pm on Wednesday 28 October.
Your email
The "open in my email app" button does not work in every browser. If nothing happens, use Copy and paste into a new email. Change the order or wording if you like, but keep the DA number in the subject line. Council requires your name and address; anonymous emails carry no weight. Submissions can be viewed as part of the DA file.
Which streets are most affected
The applicant's own visual report gives its highest ratings to these streets. If you live on one, your email counts most.
- Sawyer Way
- Oak Farm Road and Cornfield Road (western ends)
- Milford Way, Angle View and Blencoe Terrace (Cascadia)
- Horseshoe Circuit
- Brotheridge Avenue
- Coral Tree Crescent
- Bushranger Parade
- Amy Place and Silky Grove

The plans, the Statement of Environmental Effects and the EME report are on Council's development proposals page. Council's switchboard is (02) 4221 6111; ask for the planning department. Any written submission must say whether you have made a reportable political donation or gift to a councillor or Council employee in the past two years. The template includes that line.
